Macbook Pro Bootcamp Question

I am having problem installing Windows 7 64bit using bootcamp and it fails to boot windows when you press "install windows using DVD" prompt on bootcamp. The computer restarts and freezes with black screen/white command bar/under score bar.. I need urgent help.. I have tried 23 times, but it is failing every single time with black screen/white command bar/under score bar. I have tried to install windows with the option prompt "DOWNLOAD THE LATEST WINDOWS SUPPORT SOFTWARE FROM APPLE" 15 times. Finally I called apple and they have directed me to this website support.apple.com/en-us/HT205016 and asked to download the latest bootcamp based on my macbook pro model and unzippe the file and copy to usb. I also tried to install windows 7 64 bit with this method but it failing too. I am running Mac OS X version 10.7.5 currently.

What year is your MBP? There are only a few 2011-2012 models which support both DVD and USB Installers.

MacBook Pro 13 inch, Early 2011. I am running external DVD/CD drive from LG, which is supported to run on mac/windows. The DVD drive is fine there no problems for it to detect the cds on my macbook. My internal DVD/CD on my macbook pro is not working, so I am using external drive.

You will not be able to use an external optical drive to install Windows on your specific model? Is it possible to repair your internal optical drive or replace it economically?

I can replace it and buy new DVD drive from amazon and replace it. Is it possible to make usb drivable using windows 7 ISO file..

On your Mac model, the BC Assistant sets the NVRAM to boot from your internal Optical drive. You can try other Optical drives, but they will most likely give you the same error.
